The international ACGR 2024 will be organized in landscapes that have already been tested once before, on the shores of Jokijärvi, in Saija Lodge, north Finland: https://www.saija.fi/en/home.html
In these landscapes, tar rafts carried by peasants flowed along the river Ii towards Oulu as early as the end of the 17th century, and later log men floated logs to the same regions in the summer until the early 1980s. The museum of the birthplace of writer Kalle Päätalo is located next to the rally site. His books tell the stories of his contemporaries about these landscapes and events.
Saija Lodge has also about 150 Huskies, so you can visit there to see, and hear, how huskies are resting there and dreaming about the winter, when they are ready to work as a team…
In the program of the rally, in addition to good local food, Gruppo offers us the opportunity to take a sauna on the shore of Jokijärvi in a smoke sauna on Friday and Saturday evenings. For those who wish, a trip to Salpalinja near Kuusamo will be organized on Saturday. On Friday evening, the Benson Boogie Band will perform on the covered beach stage! The stage is not a serving area, so you can bring your own soft drinks, if you like.

– rally fee 20.00e/person. Payment on the spot and preferably by card.

Note! Campers and tenting: There are no general camping services in the area. However, the host will organize social facilities, etc. as last time.

The nearest store and fuel distribution, i.e. K-Kyläkauppa Soronen (64 years in the same place) is about 15 km east from Saija Lodge towards the highway 5.
